Visiting us
Are dogs welcome?
Extremely. Water bowls at the door, house-baked "pupcakes" under the counter, and a wall of polaroids your dog can aspire to. Inside seating is people-only per health regs — the courtyard and window bench are fair game.
Can I work on my laptop?
Weekdays, absolutely — power points line the long table and the wifi (network: EmberOak, password on the chalkboard) is genuinely fast. Weekends we keep the tables for brunch crowds, so laptops rest Saturday and Sunday.
Do you take bookings?
For groups of six or more, yes — email or use the contact form a day ahead. Smaller than that, just walk in; the wait is rarely longer than a flat white takes to pour.
Is there parking nearby?
Street parking on Acorn Lane is 2-hour metered. Honestly though: we’re 300m from the 96 tram and there are bike hoops right out front. Ride, tram or stroll if you can.
Are you kid-friendly?
Yes — babycinos are $1 (marshmallow negotiable), high chairs live by the door, and Theo usually has a spare croissant end for small humans who ask politely.
Do you do takeaway?
Of course. BYO cup gets 50c off, or grab one of our returnable "mug library" cups — leave a $5 deposit, bring it back whenever.
Coffee & beans
When are beans roasted?
Tuesdays and Fridays. Bags on the shelf are never more than four days off roast — the roast date is stamped on the bottom of every bag.
Do you have decaf and alt milks?
A properly good sugarcane-process decaf from Colombia, plus oat, soy, almond and lactose-free. The oat is the house pick — it was chosen by blind taste test, twice.
How does the subscription work?
Pick a bag size and frequency, we ship Australia-wide on roast day (free over $40, flat $6 under). Pause, swap or cancel anytime — no lock-ins, no guilt trips.
Will you grind beans for me?
Always, free, for any brewer — espresso, V60, plunger, moka, that mystery machine from your nonna. Tell us the brewer and we’ll dial the grind.
Can I buy a gift card?
Yes — any amount, sold at the register or by email, never expires. Reliably the most popular present in the postcode every June and December.
Where do your beans come from?
Twelve farms and co-ops across Colombia, Ethiopia, PNG and Brazil, all paid well above fair-trade rates. The full farm list hangs by the roaster — ask and we’ll talk your ear off.
